Counselor - Per Diem

Location: Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department in Boston, MA. Bradston Street
Schedule: Per Diem/On-Call as needed

Pay rate: $28.85/hour

The Counselor is responsible for:

• Providing evidence based psychoeducation to offenders according to approved curriculum and completing required documentation.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, criminal justice, education or closely related field required
• CADC, LADC 2 or other comparable certification/license or equivalent experience with substance use treatment groups/services required
• Must have experience working with justice involved individuals and/or in a correctional setting.
• Must have at least 2 years’ experience working with those afflicted with substance use and opioid use disorders.
• Staff must be able to pass extensive background check and pass drug screening
