Project Peer Connection (PPC) is a statewide reentry mentoring project providing one-to-one peer support to higher risk individuals who complete substance abuse treatment while incarcerated to help them lead drug-free, crime-free lives. PPC works within facilities to engage high-risk, high-need individuals based on their assessment scores. Mentors provide follow-up reporting to track participant outcomes for at least one-year following release. The DOC will provide recidivism data for participants within 12-months following release.  

The Community-Based Program Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the mentoring program relating to ex-offender clients and mentors in their assigned region. This position is responsible for recruitment and training of mentors, oversight of mentoring process, client case files, and related activities. Positions will require travel in Massachusetts. We are looking for someone to service the Boston/Metro area. This position works closely with the Correction (in-prison) Program Coordinator to ensure continuity of services.

Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm, however adjustments will be required to meet the needs of the clients and volunteers to include some evening and weekend hours. must be flexible  


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, HS Diploma/GED required.
  • Some experience working with incarcerated population, or those on parole or probation is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain strict boundaries.
