County Administrator

Location: Middleton, MA - Middleton House of Corrections. Service locations are the Middleton Jail and House of Correction, Essex County Pre-Release and Re-entry Center, Women in Transition Center, and STAR Programs in Lynn and Lawrence

Schedule: Monday-Friday. Full-time

Pay rate: $100,000/annually

The County Administrator is responsible for:

• Providing administrative / operational leadership and oversight of substance use disorder treatment services to justice involved males and females at multiple locations under the jurisdiction of the Essex County Sheriff’s Department.
• Serving as the single point of contact for Sheriff’s Department officials, contract compliance and meeting and exceeding established operational benchmarks. Governing the three ECSD OCC centers.
• Requiring a high degree of emotional intelligence, tact, commitment to staff professional development, and attention to detail and customer service.
• Having the knowledge of, and experience with, evidence-based principles of offender rehabilitation, and gender responsive treatment.
• Working the hours required to meet the business needs of the organization including the ability to work more than 40 hours in a work week, travel to multiple sites, and accept/respond to work related communications after hours and weekends.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in criminal justice, human services, counseling, or closely related field
• Licensure/certification in a clinical discipline preferred.
• Three years of management experience is required, preferably managing multiple sites concurrently.
• Must be able to travel throughout Essex County - driver's license and own vehicle required.
