 The Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer of Spectrum Health Systems is responsible for oversight of the financial resources of the organization by employing sound business practices and monitoring the utilization of services to meet organizational goals.  This position is also responsible for promoting an atmosphere of quality customer service amongst staff, excellence in service delivery, and insuring the provision of safe and dignified facilities for clients and staff.   Represents Spectrum to the various markets in which the organization operates and fosters positive public relations and promotes Spectrum's services.  Is a member of Senior Management team and contributes to organizational planning. Must be able to work the hours required to meet the business needs of the organization including the ability to work more than 40 hours in a work week. 

Qualifications:

  • Must possess knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP), financial reporting requirements, and third party billing/reimbursement as they currently exist and may in the future
  • Minimum of five (5) year' experience in a senior management position.
  • Must have either a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a CPA, or a Master's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Must display in-depth knowledge of business practices to evaluate organization-wide activities, to develop budgets, policies and procedures, and to provide effective management and motivation of managers and staff at a level normally acquired through five or more years of progressively more responsible, related management experience
  • High level of communication skills necessary to lead and motivate assigned staff and peers; develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with community and funding agency representatives, and to prepare complex reports is necessary
  • Must possess high level problem solving and analytical abilities necessary to oversee and direct the work of others, investigate and resolve conflicts and deficiencies, develop goals and objectives, and devise policies and procedures
  • Must have command of writing skills appropriate to the accounting field and familiarity with terminology generally utilized in healthcare/human services
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office products
