Recovery Specialist II

Location: Methuen, MA. Adolescent Male Program. The Breakwater Program is a long-term treatment program for adolescent males referred by the Department of Children and Families. As a therapeutic community, we use trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, family support, and recovery-based approaches to substance abuse treatment. Our goal is to help youth build pro-social skills, support their recovery, and work toward a stable, productive future. Recovery Specialists play a key role in guiding and supporting youth through this process.
Schedule: Hiring one candidate. This position is Full-time, 40 hours, awake overnight shift. Tuesday-Saturday 11:00pm-7:00am
Pay rate: $21.00-$23.00/hour

The Recovery Specialist II (Awake Overnight Assistant Supervisor) is responsible for:
- Maintaining primary responsibility for the safety and security of residents and staff on the assigned shift.
- Ensuring that proper room checks are completed properly in accordance with the Breakwater Program's policies and procedures.
- Ensuring that behavior management protocols are applied consistently.
- Overseeing Recovery Specialist, I personnel.
- Maintaining the orderliness of the program milieu by ensuring adherence to structure and schedules
- Maintaining cleanliness throughout the program at all times.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Experience working with at-risk youth.
- Ability to assess a situation independently and deal with youth emergency and crisis situations.
- Maturity and problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate effectively and authoritatively are essential qualities of the position.
- Prior supervisory experience in a related field.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
