Counselor

Location: Essex County Sheriff's Department in Lawrence, MA

Schedule: Monday-Friday. 3 days are 8:00am-4:00pm, 2 days 12:00pm-8:00pm

Pay rate: $26.44/hour

The Supporting Transitions and Reentry (STAR) Clinician is responsible for:

• Utilizing assessment, group treatment, and relationships with community services for justice involved individuals.
• Educating offenders according to the approved curriculum and completes all required documentation in the case record.
• Participating in a multi-disciplinary team meeting on a weekly basis or as directed.
• Monitoring offender compliance with all programs and ECSD rules and regulations
• Facilitating classes and group sessions
• Participating in multi-disciplinary treatment planning, case reviews, conferences and other meetings as directed
• Working cooperatively with ECSD personnel to ensure smooth operation and coordination of the program

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• BA/MA or equivalent experience in criminal justice, human services, education, or closely related field required
• CADC or LADC preferred
• Must attend annual mandatory in-service and education programs.
• Must complete education required for maintenance of professional certification or licensure if applicable.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
