Counselor -3368

 

Location: Suffolk County House of Correction in Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1 evening shift and 4 day shifts 
Pay rate: $26.44/hour ($55,000 annually)

The Counselor is responsible for:
 

• Providing evidence based psycho-education according to approved curriculum to offenders and completing required documentation.

Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, criminal justice education or closely related field required
• CADC, LADC II or other comparable certification/license or equivalent experience with substance use treatment groups/services preferred. 
• Experience working with justice involved individuals and/or in a correctional setting preferred.
• Staff must be able to pass extensive background check and pass drug screening
