The Patient Accounts Coordinator is responsible for managing the effective flow of communication and data within the following areas: Patient Accounts, DPH assessments, Mass Health enrollment, Cash Collections. Meets with clients for payment agreements when necessary.

This position is housed out of Worcester, MA at our Lincoln Street Outpatient Treatment Site, however, state-wide travel to other outpatient treatment sites may be required.

Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Position requires traveling among all 13 outpatient sites. Hours vary from early morning to evening.
 

Qualifications:

• Equivalent of an Associate Degree in business or related field or minimum three years experience in a health care setting .
• Knowledge of State and Federal Funded regulations, eligibility, and billing procedures required.
• Must have the ability to proficiently operate computer programs, such as Windows 2000, Microsoft Word and Excel, and Power Point.
• Prior knowledge and work experience with registration and insurance preferred, especially knowledge of insurance requirements.
• Must demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to handle complex and confidential information.
• Must have the ability to solve practical problems and prioritize based on client necessity, and handles customer service issues including but not limited to client complaints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with all levels of personnel, both within and outside company required.
• Must have own vehicle & valid driver's license. State-wide travel will be required.
